LongSlotToasters.com is an independent publication. Its content is researched and written by its editorial team, and every factual claim about a product is traceable to a source that is named and linked on the page where the claim appears.

How models get into the index

A model is included when it is relevant to the category and there is at least one citable source for at least one slot dimension. No manufacturer, retailer or affiliate programme can buy inclusion, position, or a rating. We include models we would not recommend, models that are discontinued, and at least one model that fails our own definition of the category, because a reference index that only lists winners is a sales page.

Advertising and commercial relationships

The site carries display advertising. Advertisements are supplied by third-party networks and are marked. We do not review the individual ads served, and their presence is not an endorsement.

Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy. The commission does not change the price you pay. Full terms are on our affiliate disclosure page.

Commercial arrangements never affect a measurement, a verdict or a position in the index. Where we say a machine is a poor buy, that judgment stands whether or not the link beneath it earns anything.

How we handle uncertainty

We would rather publish a gap than fill it. Where a figure has not been published by any source we can cite, the field is left blank and labelled, and the number of dimensions on record is shown on the page. Where sources disagree, we say so and give both. Where a date is contested in the historical record, we give the range rather than picking one silently.

Corrections

Errors of fact are corrected as soon as they are confirmed. A correction that changes a published figure is noted on the page rather than made quietly. Report an error to info@siteplotmedia.com.

Artificial intelligence

Editorial tools are used in drafting and formatting. No specification, measurement, date or source on this site is generated without a citable source behind it, and every figure is checked against that source before publication. An unsourced number is not published.

Reader contributions

We accept measurements from readers who own a machine we cannot otherwise document. They are published as reader-supplied and labelled that way permanently. We do not accept written reviews, sponsored posts, or guest articles.
