The short version

Some links from LongSlotToasters.com to retailers are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy something, we may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change which models appear in our index, where they appear, or what we say about them.

What that means in practice

An affiliate link carries a code that tells the retailer the visit came from us. If a purchase follows within the retailer’s attribution window, we are paid a small percentage of it. We are not told who you are or what else you bought.

LongSlotToasters.com may participate in affiliate programmes operated by retailers and manufacturers in this category. Where we participate in the Amazon Associates Program, we earn from qualifying purchases as an Amazon Associate.

What it does not affect

• Inclusion. Models enter the index on relevance and the availability of a citable measurement. Several models in our index cannot be bought at all, and we keep them because the measurements are still useful.
• Order. The index sorts on slot length, not on commission.
• Verdicts. Where we say a machine is slow, shallow, or badly named, that stands regardless of what the link underneath it earns. At least one model in our index is included specifically to demonstrate that it does not meet our definition of the category.
